How GigWave works for artists

  1. 1

    Create a profile

Add live video, photos, repertoire and packages. GigWave reviews every profile before it goes live, so customers trust what they see.

  2. 2

    Receive enquiries

Customers request you directly from your profile, or GigWave shares a brief with a small shortlist of suitable acts. You get the event date, location, type, budget and notes.

  3. 3

    Send a quote

Set your fee, set length, inclusions, travel and cancellation terms. You see exactly what you will receive before you send it. Message the customer to firm up details.

  4. 4

    Get booked

The customer accepts your quote and pays the GigWave service fee; the booking is confirmed in writing with contact details shared, and you are paid your fee directly as agreed in the quote.

Who can join, and how we review

You’ll need

  • A solo act, duo, band, DJ or other live music act that performs for hire in Australia
  • At least one live performance video of this act, that you have the right to share
  • An honest description, indicative pricing with what it covers, and your equipment and travel conditions
  • An email address you check — enquiries and quotes are handled from your dashboard

What we check

Before a profile goes live we watch the video, check that the act, photos and pricing match what you describe, and that the profile is clear for customers. We may ask for changes. Reviewing a profile is not a guarantee of any outcome, and we don’t publish ratings or booking counts we can’t verify.

Questions artists ask

What does it cost me?

Nothing to list, receive enquiries or send quotes. Customers pay GigWave a 10% service fee on top of the fee you quote. Nothing is deducted from your quote.

Who can see my contact details?

Only GigWave until a booking is confirmed. Before that, customers reach you through the built-in messages.

Do I have to accept every enquiry?

No. Quote the ones that suit you, decline the rest. Sending a quote confirms you are available on that date.

What do you need from me to be listed?

A live performance video you have the rights to, a clear description of your act, indicative pricing with what it covers, and your equipment and travel conditions. GigWave reviews each application before publishing.

Can I also book musicians, or buy lessons?

Yes — one account can both perform and hire, with a switch in your dashboard. Lessons are a separate purchase and never affect whether you get enquiries.
